Michael

Michael Wilson is investigating the contribution to vegetable and fruit pollination that is provided by native bees. Also, he is exploring strategies to improve bee health on farms by providing food sources, shelter, and identifying management practices that may affect bee densities on flowers.

Michael is a UT staff member and graduate student. He works for OIT and the department of Entomology and Plant Pathology developing an eXtension.org Community of Practice for Bee Health, among other IT duties for the university.

Michael completed his Bachelors of Fine Arts at UT. Beyond his bachelors, he developed his education in the sciences and is now a graduate student in Entomology. He has a background in small scale agriculture where he runs a small beekeeping business with ~50 hives and breeds Nubian dairy goats.
